Every new year brings something novel and exciting as well as the anticipation of Pantone's color of the year. As designers and artists alike already know, 2019's chosen color of the year is Pantone 16-1546 Living Coral. The color of the year resonates with trends, the temperature of our current society as some see it, and it represents the universal language of color. With colors playing an essential role in communicating mood, evoking emotion, and expressing style, this is an exciting announcement as it is a color that will begin to show up in our everyday products from clothes to electronics, and of course, interiors. Symbolizing our innate need for optimism and joyful pursuits, Pantone Living Coral embodies our desire for playful expression. Representing the fusion of modern life, this color is a nurturing one that appears in our natural surroundings and at the same time, displays a lively presence within social media. Since we're going into our fourth month of the new year beginning tomorrow, here are four ways to incorporate this gorgeous color in your interiors.

1)

if you’re unsure how to work with the vibrancy of Living Coral, why not be inspired by the salmon-tinged walls of Aesop’s store in Duke of York Square, London.

2)

We can find Pantone color of the year in these beautiful chairs at the newly designed Woolwich Pier Hotel in Sydney.

3)

The colorful and eclectic home of artist Lana Gomez makes ample use of Living Coral. The bright pops of coral in the study can be seen here – the room is a study in decorating with colorful abandon.
